Maternal deaths
have been a major issue of concern. Why should a mother face the risk of death
when giving birth to beautiful angels? Unfortunately, the newly born babies too
face endless risks to their lives. For instance, according to a recent study, every
minute, a baby is born. Out of the 60 babies born in an hour, 34 are in India. Unfortunately,
out of the 34 kids born in India, only 24 will survive to see their first month
end. Furthermore, out of the 24 that survive, just a few of them will be fit
enough to develop and mature to healthy adults. Surviving to be physically and
mentally healthy individuals seems to be a hard nut to crack.
The need to see
more kids live to be healthy adults has brought about organizations such as
Relief India Trust. Unlike most non-governmental organizations that campaign for
the welfare of the children only to rip millions as profits, the Relief India
Trust has built a reputable spot in the society by being one among the few
nonprofit making organizations concerned with the health and well being of the
Indian children. The trust is a on a mission to ensure that these kids grow to
be the future leaders of the country. The trust is focused on the impoverished
nature, of the children in India by
taking the problems facing them head on and carrying the baton forward to
realize a successful future.
Statistics
To understand how
the Trust intends to provide the solutions, you will have to look at the
statistics within the country. According to several reports, some collaborated
by the Indian Human Rights Watch, the country has a population of around 430
million persons under the age of 18 years. Unfortunately, from this vast
majority, about 1.7 million children are said to die before attaining the age
of 5 years. Only 43% of these populations survive the endless battles with life
that include malnutrition and child labor among many more has conditions. It is
also a sad fact that, most of these kids cannot afford 2 meals a day. With this
in mind, Relief India Trust has set foot in the society, helping nurture such
kids guaranteeing a future of India by feeding them right which is a basic
right for them.
Kids are known to
undergo endless sufferings as well as major physical as well as mental
troubles. Some of these issues include poor or lack of nutrition. Some of these
issues result in stunted growth. Malnutrition is also known to result in poor
mental development for the kids. This then raises concerns about whether the
society and the government is doing enough to support the kids who are the
future of the country. With this in
mind, the Relief India Trust
has been in the front line ensuring that the
Indian kid is guaranteed the best health care as well a proper nutrition.
Working in collaboration with the Indian government, the trust has saved
countless live across the country.
